Jammu and Kashmir security forces on Monday in the Northern District -Gillibrand killed five terrorists in a shootout. All terrorists were Pakistanis.
A senior police official said that all five terrorists killed in shootout were of the Hizbul Mujahideen.
Officials said massive amounts of arms and ammunition were recovered from the shootout place.
He pointed out that the Group of terrorists has months ago crossed the LOC to infiltrate into the Kashmir Valley.
The official pointed out that they got information of presence of a group of terrorists in forest area of Vangat village in Gillibrand district. Rashtriya Rifles troops and State police special operations group shared the action Monday morning.
He explained that when the terrorists were surrounded and were asked to surrendered to the security forces they started firing in which both sides start engaging.
